Summer Tax Deferral
Taxpayers may defer their summer property tax if the meet the following
criteria. Payment may be deferred until February 28 for principal
residence property owned by a taxpayer who:
~ Has a total gross household income of $40,000 or less for the
preceding year, AND
~ Is totally and permanently disabled, blind, paraplegic, hemiplegic,
~ Is an eligible serviceperson, eligible veteran, or eligible widow
or widower, OR
~ Is at least age 62.
The Application for Deferment of Summer Taxes (Michigan
Department of Treasury Form 471) may be obtained at City Hall or
on-line at the website of the Michigan Department of Treasury (http://www.michigan.gov/treasury).
The application must be filed with the City of Utica Treasurer no
later than September 15.
Dog licenses will no longer be issued from each
